Raised in the foster care system, defiant city kid Ricky Baker gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside with a loving foster aunt, Bella, and her cantankerous husband, Hec. After a sudden tragedy threatens to send Ricky to a different home, he flees into the dense bush. Hec follows, but a series of misunderstandings leads the authorities to believe the old man has kidnapped the boy, sparking a national manhunt.

The mismatched duo is forced to set aside their differences and work together to survive the elements and outrun the overzealous social workers and police on their trail.
This is a screening for 12 - 17 year olds only. Staff from Strathearn Arts, Remake Scotland and Logos Youth Group will be in attendance.
