The Personal History of David Copperfield is a comedic-drama film adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel, which follows the life of its titular character from a difficult childhood to his eventual success as a writer.

After his mother remarries a cruel man, David is sent to work in a factory and endures numerous hardships, but finds friendship and support from a cast of eccentric characters, including the optimistic Mr. Micawber and his loyal nanny Peggotty. The film uses a modern, vibrant, and fast-paced style to tell this classic story, balancing humor with tragedy as David navigates the world to find his place in it.
