Celebrate 60 years of the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Scottish Wildlife Trust and they are celebrating this milestone at Loch of the Lowes with an Open Day.

Admission is free for all visitors, with no booking required, so if you’ve not previously experienced seeing the birds and wildlife from their hides then this is the perfect opportunity to see what’s on offer.

Their wildlife hides (which are equipped with telescopes) and viewing window offer chances to see red squirrels, osprey, great spotted woodpecker, nuthatch and great crested grebe to name but a few.

The visitor centre has a well-stocked shop where you can top-up on bird food, or buy a gift or treat yourself to some binoculars. Staff will be on-hand to assist, or to simply chat with you to find out what Loch of the Lowes and the Scottish Wildlife Trust means to you, and how the landscape has changed over the last 60 years.
