Community learning and development partnership to host Funding Workshops for Community Groups in Highland Perthshire 2.00-4.00pm in Pitlochry Town Hall.

Highland Perthshire Community Learning and Development Partnership are holding two funding workshops for community groups in Aberfeldy and Pitlochry. The workshops will give local groups the opportunity to hear from the Council’s External Funding Officer, Scottish and Southern Energy, Scottish Community Foundation and a local group who has been successful in obtaining funding, presentations will be followed by the opportunity to discuss their projects with the speakers. Through the partnership we meet many local groups who are trying to find funding to enable them to carry out all the activities they want to do, to benefit their local community. Volunteers don’t always have the time to trawl through funding directories or prepare funding applications. It is hoped these two hour workshops will provide practical help to groups on what funding is available and give them an opportunity to hear from a local group who has been successful in obtaining funding. The workshops will also allow groups to learn more about the partnership and the ways in which it can help local organisations share information and develop support networks and partnerships which can help develop local actions to meet local issues to benefit their community. Workshops will be held on Thursday 4th March 7.00pm-9.00pm in Aberfeldy Town Hall and on Thursday 11th March 2.00-4.00pm in Pitlochry Town Hall.
