Stevie McGraw
Part-time daredevil, champion of unsigned Scottish alternative bands and sometime DJ, Stevie is on air 4 times a week.
Catch up with all the latest in the world of Scottish Indie, Punk and Rock with The Pulse. Stevie will try not to interrupt the flow of great new music too often with his rubbish patter.
Listeners can get involved with Stevie's Alive in the Afternoon by choosing the Theme for 'Theme Thursday' or get ready for the weekend with 'Happy, Fast and Loud Friday'.
As part of his z-list celebrity persona Stevie has also taken to throwing himself off bridges and out of planes for charity, with varying degrees of success depending on your point of view. Strap in, tune in and prepare for the worst.
Stevie’s Alive in the Afternoon
Well, I try to be as alive as possible while playing your requests and blethering nonsense for two hours in the afternoon. 2-4pm Mon-Fri (excl. Wed) tends to be a good laugh as long as my random outpourings don’t carry on for too long. Tune in on Theme Thursday where I ask the listeners to choose the themes for me, thereby proving once and for all that DJs are inherently lazy.
The Pulse
Stevie presents an hour of all that’s great in the world of Scottish Indie, Punk and Rock. The focus is on unsigned and / or underplayed bands. Stevie frequently throws the rules out the window and plays music from all over the place but it is almost always loud. 2011 will see an increase in the number of live guest appearances following on from the successful visits of The Miniature Dinosaurs and The Revelry Thieves in 2010.
